Who is she?

Alina Carr is a multidisciplinary artist currently based in Central Australia on Arrernte Country. She studied fine art at RMIT before getting lucky and escaping into tattooing before her HECS debt got too high. Over the past decade, she has worked in studios across Australia and Europe, including founding and running multiple studios in Naarm/Melbourne.

Her work explores alienation, existentialism, technology, and the strange psychic conditions of post-reality late-stage capitalism. Although trained in painting and drawing, she works across mediums, using whatever form best serves the idea.

Alina is a transgender woman, which is both irrelevant and integral to her art.
